Fabiano Gulisano - Rough Enough

Fabiano Gulisano - Rough Enough

I stumbled upon Nova Pickups by pure chance. I had already admired their unique design on various boutique guitars, but my first hands-on experience came when I purchased the SuperNova humbucker—the collaboration with JPTR FX. I installed that absolute 'beast of Satan' into a Danelectro Baritone, turning it into an extreme hot-rod, and I fell in love with it immediately. That experience sparked a conversation with Till, where I started asking more details about his work.
However, the real commitment happened when I got my hands on a Chapman Stormburst Baritone. First, I decided to replace the stock Pegasus Alnico V with an Apex Omnia in the bridge, wired for a parallel split as suggested directly by Till. Later, I also swapped out the Sentient Alnico V at the neck for an Apex split Neck.
It was the best decision I could have made. This Neodymium combination delivers exactly what I was looking for: clarity, precise attack, and the frequency range I love. They are incredibly responsive to every nuance in picking dynamics and pot changes. It also cleans up very well when rolling down the volume while still maintaining good output. They are defined, super precise, and aggressive! They handle all parts of my songs perfectly, from the quieter sections to the stronger ones.
